Hi @Thomas Negeli1 , I realize this thread is 6 years old!! But I thought it might be helpful for other users in the community to know there are other options. You can get a full list of all the projects in which you are the project lead using Profields' project navigator. Simply filter by lead in the basic search and…

Another possibility that doesn't require scripting is Profields: with it you will have a project function in your JQLs that allows to search for any project information, either a Jira native field like the Lead or a Profields field. Full disclosure: I work for Profields' manufacturer, DEISER

Just to be clear, while @enderandpeter is obviously right, the advantage of doing with with Profields' Bulk Operations is that you can add memberships for any selection of projects in one take. In other words, you don't have to repeat the operation for every project. (note that Spencer's comment is not a response to my…

Hi @Tej , It's a bit late but if I may, I'd suggest a more proactive approach that checks whether the deletion of a project would create orphan schemes and then removes those. You can see the details here:…

Hi @Dan Florea ! Glad I was able to help. Yes, you'll need script fields for the remaining values you want to calculate. Unfortunately scripting is beyond my skillset, but a colleague might be able to help. If you raise a ticket, we can support you over there.

If the only category you want to apply and then sort by is Machine Learning, then a check-box custom field seems like would do the trick. You can include it in JQLs. Of course, the only problem I see is that you'll have to modify the corresponding schemes in each and all projects.
-
@SHUBHAM JHAWAR Can you specify if you want to create custom fields at project level or at issue level? If the first is the case, then you will need an app. There are several ones depending on your needs and Profields is the most sophisticated, will solve most use cases. (Full disclosure: I work for Profields'…

Hi @Amílcar Rodrigues, If what you need is the sum of the values of all issues in your project, you don't need to script anything. Just use a summative field and what the origin issue custom field is. You can see the full instructions here, I think the example is exactly what you're trying to do. If what you need is more…

Like! Please get this to work! We do have some public Trello boards out there but the best way to document our actual work and share it with the org is embedding in Confluence. Will try the HTML workaround for now!
-
@Tom Synnott , as @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- you would need custom fields at project level for this, a marketplace App is required for this. You can check out Profields, which was created precisely for this type of need. For full disclosure, I work for DEISER, the manufacturer of Profields. But I only recommended when…

Thanks for mentioning the tool, @William LaRue! It's really interesting to see how the most valuable product propositions I see lately are data integration umbrellas like Tasktop for software development or Segment for marketing toolkits. I'd be happy to connect over LinkedIn if you want to be in touch besides the…
-
Hi @William LaRue, Wow, thanks for your comment! Both for the appreciation that’s in it and for the important nuances you mention. Of course, I agree with your point of view: Jira is designed for product management (and even for that kind of work it has received accurate criticisms because of its focus on granularity vs…
-
Hi @Samantha Diegutis what do you want to export, the issues in the project or the project attributes like workflows, schemes etc. too?
-
Exactly! Can you delete pages, for example? You just need the appropriate permission. Confluence is designed so anyone in an org can create content, but removing is an entirely different thing!

@Emanuel: No, components don't have start and end dates. Depending on how you manage timelines you could still use sprints for planning iterations, though, and include in each sprint work from different components that needs to be done within that time. You could have some sprints with work for SEO exclusively, one with…
-
Hey Emanuel, Your setup is a bit complex but I think you should be able to get closer to what you need if you just replace sprints with components in what you said above. * You can configure component-based permissions and group your users accordingly, so they only can see the piece of the project that affects them * You…

Looking forward to Vegas!! For us it's an unbeatable way to meet face to face hundreds of American customers we regularly work with online.

Hi @Lauma Cīrule! Thanks for your input. At DEISER we love eazyBI for its flexibility. In fact, we often recommend integrating eazyBI for reporting and Profields as the source of data for things such as project priority, status, budget, etc. There is an out of the box integration that customers can benefit from If you do…
-
Hi McLean, Jira projects are not projects in a strict sense, they're just containers of issues with rules on how to treat those issues. However, you can go to the Marketplace to find solutions. You have mentioned eazyBI, and that's a great resource but it's somewhat difficult to configure and won't give you project-level…

Hi, I realize this is an old thread, what it might be worth mentioning that Profields 6.0 features Bulk Operations, a feature inspired in Jira's own bulk changes but applied to project entities. Specifically, Bulk Operations allows adding any number of users to a role in any number of projects with just one action. See the…
-
Hi, DEISER has just released Bulk Operations for Jira projects as the new feature of Profields 6.0. It works just like Jira's bulk change but is applied to projects and project entities. Category is precisely one of the supported entities. Other operations include deleting projects (if desired, with associated schemes,…

Hi @Bill Cushard thanks for your feedback! I'm aware of your book and it's planned for my summer readings. And thanks @[deleted] for your insight!

At DEISER We will be onboarding Jira very soon for our content marketing strategy. I think the main aspects to consider are whether Jira Core is sufficiently flexible for an advanced team with complex processes and integrations. @[deleted] Why would you defend Jira Software for business teams as opposed to Atlassian's…

Hi Kimberly, It would be great if you could post your contribution here once you have it. We are working on a content management workflow but for now, we've decided to enhance Trello instead of moving to Jira Core. Seeing a proper content workflow that works on Jira Core would be very useful at this stage. Cheers, Jaime

Hi Dulmini, I'm currently testing Excellentable and it works fine, particularly if you're using your spreadsheets for lists and not for complex calculations. In my case, we'll be using it for tables of articles, references, topic ideas... mainly content marketing documentation. Admittedly, it has its own quirks, like the…
