Thank you for staying on top of the comments @SilkeS! Glad I found something helpful for the team.

Here are my top 3: * Waiting List * Task Reports for Jira * Issue templates Congrats to all winners!

Hi @Srikanth Ganipisetty , Happy to contribute to the debate! I'm the content manager at resolution, the vendor of the most widely installed SSO solution for Data Center. Since we were getting a lot of questions like yours, at resolution we created a full feature comparison between the Data Center SSO functionality and…

Hi @Alexandra Bruce, Unfortunately, the current version of the app doesn't have a zoom functionality. Would that be what you expect? As you know, the size of the Confluence macros is something we can't fully control beyond the three size options you are surely familiar with. It would be helpful if you could share the size…

I can also see how the default behavior of opening everything in a new tab would get out of hand real fast. But I would argue that at least links between Confluence and Jira should NOT open in the same tab.
-
I have always been baffled by the behavior, both as a reader and as a writer. And I don't think it has to do with the nature of Confluence being a Wiki -- for god's sake, it could be a configuration option! Nah, I think Atlassian just doesn't think it's important and seeing that there are pros and cons, they're not willing…

My favorite title is def IPA In Pub Assistant for Jira! Would love to see this live in the Marketplace!!!

This is an old thread but the javascript code has been updated, so I'm hoping to update it with a solid reference as well. @Lutz Faber mentioned that Techtime's User Management app does not deactivate unsynced users, since it actually doesn't lookup the Identity Provider. At resolution we do have two apps that can do this:…

Yes! I'm behind you on that. I've put longer videos and video messages in the same bag in this article, and that's misleading. Thanks for pointing that out. Let's go back to my initial argument though. I do believe that recorded video can help us cut back on meetings and that this format has a place in Jira (and…
-
I disagree with that. Video messages should be short and concise. That's certainly valid as a rule of thumb. But depending on what you are trying to do, I see how some could be longer than a couple of minutes. Or how a bit of in-video structure could be helpful. Perhaps some of these are not what we usually call video…

Hey Nikki, Thanks for jumping into the conversation! It's always cool to know what's your feeling when it comes to communication in product teams. What you mention is a great best practice. It does make sense to combine video messages with a brief textual overview so that you go into the video for details. Something else…

@Nic Brough -Adaptavist- thanks for the effort you've put into your response! There is a lot of goodness in what you say and complain about. I recognize that the line you quote from me is too much. We need a combination of channels to communicate with our colleagues, and interaction should definitely NOT disappear. This…

Hi @Johannes Blersch are you on Confluence Cloud or Data Center? For Confluence Cloud, many customers are going with our app Miro Whiteboard for Confluence. In comparison to other options, it is much more usable, as it doesn't limit edit rights to premium accounts as the native app by Miro does. As said, please note that I…
-
Got you! In that case you'll have to resort to a different alternative, as our user management products are only available for Server and Data Center.
-
Hi @Eva Fernandez! Jira native user properties are quite limited, as you may know. If you want to expand what they can capture, you can use Communardo User Profiles for Jira. If you choose this app, we have an integration with them so anything that comes from Okta can be mapped to the user profile. You can follow the step…

Thanks for chipping in @Mike Rathwell !

That's my guess but it's just a guess. Their documentation does give examples of. blocking a transition from being approved with their scripted validations, but what you want is a bit different. My other guess is that you need to restrict the permissions in that step of the workflow to only users, there might be some ideas…

Which plugin specifically?
-
This looks fantastic, need to try it out.
-
Hi @Monica Yost You probably have to build a customization that blocks wrong customer approvers. A validator would perhaps be possible without using a script or add-on. But then, if you're already using any good workflow management add-ons, those will give you extra options and their support may be able to help quite fast.
-
Great job guys!
-
Hi @Dave Billing , If I reverse-engineered this question correctly, you could do this by revoking the permission to assign issues. But it's probably a too radical approach. It doesn't seem like you can change the behavior of the agent field in the queues though...
-
I haven't followed the product evolution lately, but one thing you can do is export all the tickets in the project as a CSV file with an app like DEISER's Exporter, then import them back again. As far as I know, Exporter keeps all comments, attachments and even the transition history.

Interesting discussion, @Kishan Sharma! It'd be really nice to get some first-hand experiences from Data Center customers on this matter. Our experience in resolution as the marketplace partners behind the most sold SAML SSO plugin for Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket etc. is that most of our Server customers are sticking to…
-
@Alex Janes I hear you! The license tier could explode.
-
Thanks for letting me know @hilarydub. @John Price, apparently guest users, even if read-only, will occupy licenses. Would this be a deal-breaker for you?
-
Well, syncing that attribute seems to be the important requirement you want to solve. Do you have your AD on the cloud through Office365 or on your own servers? Do you have an LDAP sync with the Atlassian directory? Depending on your infra, the synchronization options will vary. The rest sounds pretty much like a standard…

I have the same problem. Don't chop the garlic. You should cook entire cloves and take them out when the flavor is in. That way it's just the aroma that you get.
