  • Hi @jo astley , The only way to do this is to recreate the user in Jira, make sure they are an "active" user (not disabled) and then have the site admin log in to Jira as the user and reassign the board to someone else. -Scott
  • Hi @Kendis Team , Here is information on writing articles: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Off-topic-articles/Atlassian-Community-Guide-to-A-Articles/ba-p/1157622 https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Feedback-Forum-articles/Become-an-Atlassian-Author-in-2019/ba-p/1001925 And...don't forget this…
  • Hi @Juraj Gromina , Thank you for sharing the results! Could you mark @Mohamed Benziane 's answer as "Accepted" by clicking the Accept Answer button? This will help others in the community find it when they run into the same question. -Scott
  • Hi @Maria KleinJan , It sounds like the issue type you created has not been associated to the project's issue type scheme. I think that is the first place to check. There is more information on how to do this at https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver074/associating-issue-types-with-projects-881683411.html. Hope…
  • Hi @Dennis Dolman , I am not able to find a setting that will allow you to limit the issues that can link to an Epic. By design in Jira, Epics can span projects to allow cross-project dependencies to be created and managed in a common board; since boards are based on filters this allows the project lead to create Kanban…
  • Hi @JD Lobue , While I can't speak for Atlassian, I have some thoughts on why this is so. First, Jira started as a bug tracking application in 2002, targeted at software developers. Agile was just becoming popular at that time and the concept of managing products instead of projects had not been developed. As Jira evolved…
  • @John Kolacz , How big of a space is it? This sounds like a lot of work with some degree of risk. It may be easier for you to create the space hierarchy of pages within the current space then move each page to the proper location. You should be able to drag and drop pages in the left-nav frame. -Scott
  • Hi @Dipali Patel , Here is some documentation on how to create issues in Jira. https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/guides/getting-started/basics#step-4-create-an-issue This should get you started, let us know if you have more specific questions around creating issues for your Kanban board. -Scott
  • Hi @cweiske, There isn't a way to merge two accounts, but there is a bit of a work around here: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Feedback-Forum-articles/Usernames-privacy-email-changes-alter-egos-and-you/ba-p/1056964 ...Or you can email communitymanagers@atlassian.com with the details to see if they can help. -Scott
  • Hi @seanvi , Is your search criteria @permission or is it "@permission" ? If you are leaving out the quotation marks then I suspect the search engine is ignoring the special character because it relates to the tagging function in Confluence. Try searching with the quotation marks included. -Scott
  • Hi @Llewellyn Hartley I'm not aware of any settings that allow you to limit the sources of attached files. You can adjust the size of the files, the type of icon, zipped files, etc., but not where they can come from. -Scott
  • HI @경종 오 , Do you have the "Manage Sprints" permission for all the projects used in that board? This is a project-level permission, for more information see https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiracloud/managing-project-permissions-776636362.html -Scott
  • HI @Volker Thiel , While you can create custom filters for gadgets to use, unfortunately you are not able to create custom gadgets in Jira Cloud. Here is the link to the documentation that specifies this: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwarecloud/adding-and-customizing-gadgets-764478204.html -Scott
  • Hi @sc , There are no hard and fast rules, but I understand where you are coming from. Here's how I set mine up: Let's say you have three main project types: HR/Payroll Systems, Supply Chain Systems, and Data Management Systems. While these may have cross dependencies, each one has distinct workflows, issues, custom…
  • Hi @Sarah_Becker , There are three levels of issues in Jira Software: Epic, "Standard" (Story/Task", etc, and "Sub Issue" (subtasks.) You can create custom "Standard" types and custom "Sub Issue" types, but you cannot create custom Epic level issue types. So, even if you create a new issue type in Jira and name it "epic"…
  • Hi @Piotr Nowak , Unfortunately, the sprint view and related fields are not editable views, unlike the Issue views and fields so there is no way to make the sprint goals required. That is something you would have to manage through process with your scrum masters. There is, however a request to implement this functionality.…
  • Hi @Karlheinz Rettig , Could you please share some more information about what you are seeing when you export the epics to Excel? Specifically, you said that you are getting 5 lines for some of the epics. Are those 5 lines all the same, or do they have different issue key numbers? Also, could yo share the filter you are…
  • Hi @andre , Your sprint board is probably set up to pull in issues that match a particular set of priorities, and changing the priority for those issues kept the filter from finding them. You may need to adjust the filter. -Scott
  • Hi @Gene Limbrick Can you verify with your IT department that the emails are not getting blocked on your server? Sometimes they can get classified as spam. Also, check the email address in your profile to make sure it is correct. Assuming the email address is correct and they are not getting marked as spam, try setting…
  • Yatzee is one of my favorites! I have a small set I take with me every time I go hiking, because sitting around a campfire and playing a dice game in the middle of nowhere is the best way to disconnect from the world.
  • I love playing Risk and Axis and Allies; they cater to my analytical mind and I enjoy the challenges that can arise from getting stuck with countries that have little or no power and be able to win the game. That, and world domination.
  • For me, ThanksGiving invokes thoughts of marathon backing sessions and whiskey. After all her kids moved out, my mom started hosting Thanksgiving dinner for the extended family, and since I enjoy baking I always make dessert. Before everyone went to different states and cousins, brothers, sisters, etc. all started having…
  • Sick leave is an unplanned for event that occurs during the sprint and impacts the amount of work the team is able to accomplish. I recommend closing the sprint sort of complete, moving the unfinished stories to the backlog or to the next sprint, and addressing the shortage in the retrospective. Over time that allows the…
  • All, There have been a number of changes to Next-gen projects since this post was made nearly a year ago, with more in progress. For more information please see the tickets below: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-17266 https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-18544…
  • Hi @David Huerva This is a bit of a shot in the dark, but it seems to make logical sense to me.... Is the user that started the sprint in the same timezone or did they start it from a different location? Also, what is the timezone of the person running the report? If they both match the zone in the board settings then the…
  • In the grand scheme of things an EMP is much better than a zombie apocalypse. At least we'd be able to figure out how to survive without having to worry about getting eaten and turned into one of the walking dead.
  • @Davin Studer I see nothing in here about needing all ten toes...or both arms for that matter. Based on that alone I'd say your a shoe-in.
  • Unfortunately, no. There is no Atlassian Marketplace application to connect to Smartsheet.
  • Hi @Balamurugan There is a connector for Jira in Smartsheet. For more information please review this post: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Smartsheet-integration-with-Jira/qaq-p/1156289 Hope this helps, Scott
  • HI @Vinod Patel , Can you help with more information? What happens when they try to update a page? Are they getting error messages? Do they have "Update" permissions? -Scott
