Hi @Graham Bartram, I've attached a screen shot for you...I'm assuming your menu bar looks like this. If so, hover your mouse over the edge of an area where there are no icons for menu items until you get an arrow. Click and drag in that spot to pull the menu bar out. Hope this works for you, -Scott

I always liked the C better :)

The first movies I remember seeing as a kid were The Swiss Family Robinson and Treasure Island, and I immediately wanted to be a pirate when I grew up. My parents tried to discourage me because according to them pirates were very, very bad people. I didn't get it. Long John Silver wasn't really that bad, was he? Errol…

Hi @Mohamed Jazeem, To add on to @Grigory Salnikov's answer... Most add-on applications also add a Jira User to the set of people with access that determines how much your access costs. If you are using the Cloud version these add-on users do not count towards your billing, but if you are on the server version they do.…

Hi @Mukka Vishnupriya, You need to be a space administrator to create and manage groups. Here is some documentation that should help: https://confluence.atlassian.com/confcloud/confluence-groups-724765433.html -Scott

This is a great question, @Carsten Oberstebrink! Perhaps one of the other Agile/Jira experts will chime in, until then I'll see if I can figure it out. -Scott

@Sloan N_ B_ I have a phobia for dogs too, from my paper boy days and an unfortunate incident with an overly friendly Dire Wolf/Siberian Husky. To this day I fear that all dogs want to bite me. I work with a lot of animal rescue groups as a photographer, so I had to learn to get past my fears. I spent a lot of time with a…

Hi @Vishal Budhwani, I don't have any other insight into the bug other than what is documented in the issue at CONFCLOUD-65211. However...the download I was referring to is the connector application, not the document itself. If you go to the Atlassian Companion App Release Notes you will find a link that will let you…

Hi @Tom Rourke, First, let me suggest that you don't delete the account, just deactivate it. If you delete it then any filters or dashboards he may own will be inaccessible. To delete or deactivate the account you'll probably need to remove him as a site-admin and make sure he is not a technical or billing contact. You…

@Poorna Pragna If you'll indulge me and read this post from a while ago, I'll continue the "house" example. It might help Let's say that Sprint 2 "Frame the House" has 6 stories: Frame the Kitchen, Frame the Living Room, Frame the Bathroom, Frame the Basement, and Frame the Bedroom. During the final inspection (UAT) you…

Hi @Poorna Pragna, When using a Scrum or Agile methodology where development happens in Sprints, QA should be a part of the sprint and the user story isn't marked "Done" until it is passed. In a true Scrum environment, there should be no bugs when the sprint is closed and the team moves on to the next one. However,…

It looks like the bug happens in Chrome build 71.0.3578.98 for Windows 10 as well. -Scott
-
Hi @Vishal Budhwani, I'm not sure why it's not working in Chrome, I'll see if I can find out more information. In the meantime, try downloading it directly from the release notes. You can find them at Atlassian Companion App Release Notes -Scott

Hi @Vishal Budhwani, Are you using Microsoft Edge or IE 11? If so try using Chrome instead. There is a bug for this when using those two browsers, and I've found that Chrome works better anyway. CONFCLOUD-65211 -Scott (Edit: Added IE 11.)

Hi Stefan, Yes, you can disable templates that you do not want to use. You may need site-admin access; they can be found under "Settings....Global Templates and Blueprints." Here is a link for more information: https://confluence.atlassian.com/confcloud/administering-site-templates-724765508.html Hope this helps, -Scott

Nuts. I was hoping that would take care of it for you. There used to be a way to add an extension to it that would let you block users, but Slack has changed the code so it no longer works. The options/setting mentioned are currently the only ways I can find to limit the notifications, I've kinda gotten used to it but with…
-
@John Simpson, The only other way to block notifications is through your user preferences...Click the button in the top left corner, select File...Preferences...and select the box for "Nothing." That turns off all notifications except for badges. -Scott

Hi @Deb Shapiro, I was searching the Community and found your question...were you able to figure it out? I'd love to know how you did it. -Scott
-
A great article @Community Manager! You have examples of good answers to use as guidelines, could you also add an example or two of good questions? Often the tone and voice of a reply will mirror the that of the request, and some questions are easier to figure out because they have good information about the issue in them…
-
Hi @John Simpson, When the project was connected to Slack there was (probably) a Slack Channel set up for it, like "#Project." You can mute the notifications in that channel by first clicking on the channel on the left navigation to go into it, clicking the "gear" icon next to the search bar, and selecting "Mute #Project."…

@[deleted] You may feel battered and bruised, but you successfully broke through barriers and knocked down walls!

(Thanks!)

Great, I'm glad I was able to help! Could you mark the answer as "accepted" so others can find it more easily? -Scott

Hi @[deleted], It's interesting to read that in your experience "the majority of the time, those organisations incorrectly implement the Scrum Master duties within another role, such as a member of the Development Team or the Product Owner;" with those to roles mentioned specifically. Was that by chance, or are those the…

Hi @Dubraska López, Jira does not do this out of the box, but there are a couple of add-on applications in the Market Place you can try: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/42296/tfs4jira-synchronization-and-migration?hosting=cloud&tab=overview…

Hi Phil, I'm new to Portfolio, so this may not be the best way to accomplish this, but here's my suggestion anyway.... * Add a custom field as a yes/no check box to your issue view called "Freeze Program Scope." * When you are ready to freeze the scope of the project do a bulk update of all the issues in the project to…

Hi @PerMirum Nordgren! I'm looking for a burndown chart like yours, were you able to get it to work? -Scott
-
Hi @Christine Cagakit-Ingco, You can export the users from the Site Administration tools if you are a site-admin. You'd go to user management, click on Export Users, and select check box for "Group Membership" and the drop-down for your Confluence Users group. Hope this helps, -Scott

I hope this post gets me closer to the six degrees of Kevin Bacon, I'll leave it up to @Laura to decide. I have to say that the best app I've used so far is BigPicture. When I came on board at Parker there was little to no way to manage risk within their system, and noting was run at a program level. We tried to give…
