This is an easy one...If I were a car I'd be a Jeep Wrangler. In fact, I'd be my Jeep Wrangler.

Hi @Dorit Mozesh, The "Administer Jira" permission has the ability to create projects, so you will need to log in as the site-admin and set the Global Permission to Administer Jira for the user or group that will be creating projects. Here are a couple of links with more information:…

Hi @Michael J Brown, and welcome! There are a number of "getting started" pages in the documentation for Jira, and several YouTube videos that will help. Also, there is *ahem* a really good article about how one person learned the system. Here are some links for you:…

@Tom Lister I now need to do this for Hamurabi. I had a deal with my dad...for every hour I spent learning Basic, Pascal, VisiCalc and Scripsit on his TRS-80 I could play Hamurabi or Oregon Trail for an hour. I can talk about it now, but mentioning it in junior high back in the early 1980's was inviting a beating on the…

Hi @Dillon Gilkey, Were you ever able to resolve this? If not here is what I suggest... If I remember correctly only the board's owner can give ownership to another user so if you are the site admin, temporarily reactivate the inactive user, then use the site-admin function "log in as user" and use that person's account to…

Hi @Aneta Dzhenkova I looked in both views and it should still be next to the ellipses in the top right corner of the issue view for you. If it is not there ask your admin to check your permissions to see if you are able to export. -Scott

Hi @Lei Yao-Griep, I agree, moving between statuses in a single column isn't the best solution. Unfortunately, multiple "Done" columns isn't possible in native Jira, but there might be something in the Marketplace that may help, you'd have to search. -Scott

Hi @Rajeev Iyer! I found your post while scrolling through "Agile" questions. Were you ever able to get it resolved? I know it is nearly two years old, but if it is still an issue could you explain more about what you are trying to accomplish? -Scott
-
Hi @Cameron Priestley! I was scrolling through old Agile posts and found your question today. Did you ever receive an answer? (I know it was almost two years ago.) An any case, the only constraints you can put on a board's columns are the number of Issues, either with or without sub-tasks included. However..the boards are…

Hi @Rahul Sahotay, Did you ever figure out how to do this? I found your post while skimming through posts with "Agile" tags. If it is still an open question you may want to check out this article. It has some detail about shared sprints.…
-
Hi @Antonio Fernández Del Castillo-Olivares, I went through several areas within Jira Software and there is no place to add a field to the Create Sprint view. Can you tell me more about what you are trying to accomplish and what type of information you'd put in the field, if you could? There may be another way to do it.…
-
Hi @Lei Yao-Griep, I think the best way to address this would be to change the order of your statuses and not use "Done-Done." The far right column "Done" indicates that there is no more work needed, everything is approved, and the issue is closed. So, use that for your final acceptance by the users and add a "UAT" (User…

Hi @Marcos Tapia, @Jack Hunter _HeroCoders_ is correct. There is no native way to track time in Next-Gen projects now. It is, however, on the radar. You can view the issue in Atlassian's backlog at JSWCLOUD-17447. It has a lot of attention, so add your vote to it to help move it up the priority list and to wacth it for…

Hi @Nikayla Palomino, There isa an add-on that will do this nicely. It is called "Backbone Sync." I've used it in the past, here is a post I wrote last spring about how I set it up. https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Marketplace-Apps-questions/Jira-Backbone-issue-quot-backsync-quot/qaq-p/742781 Hope this helps, -Scott

Hi @Vishal , The Sprint field does not support that function. You should use sprint in openSprints (). https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwarecloud/advanced-searching-fields-reference-764478339.html Hope this helps, -Scott

Hi @Engin Basarslan, Are you the site-admin for the Jira Cloud instance? If not you'll need to contact the person in that role. If you are, however, you'll want to go into "Site Administration" from the pop-up menu in the bottom left corner, select "Users," and click on the user name to open it up. From there you'll see a…

Good news! I'm glad you were able to find it.

I think you may have stumbled on a bug: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-67704 Edit: Your tag does not indicate if you are server are cloud...I'll check to see if there is a server version of this bug.

I just realized...Community Badges = Electronic Swag. I was searching though the Community for questions I could answer and stumbled across a badge challenge and thought "Oooo Badges! I can do that.)

I'm still leaning towards either the space in the field name or the field does not like the ~ operator. I'll ping the other Champions and see if they've any other theories. -Scott

Hi @Susan Fessel, Did you ever get an answer to this? I'm curious to see how you resolved it. I'm also trying to picture the structure and how the epics fit into it so I can help answer your question if it's still open. From what I'm reading in your post... If you set up an epic named "Dashboard" in project A and an epic…

BTW...your second search should have quotes around the text of the field; that is needed for the "~" operator. Try status = Open AND "POS version" ~ "8.8.8.123"
-
hmmm...does it work if you replace the "~" with "=" ? Also...verify the syntax of the field name; it may not like the space between POS and Version. (eg: the "Affected Version" field' syntax in Jira is "affectedVersion"…

@Daniela Claudino, Yes, you can run parallel sprints. Here is some more information on it: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Core-questions/Multiple-Scrum-Board-per-Project/qaq-p/966870 Hope this helps, -Scott
-
@Dennis_H, Since it looks like "Sequence" is the name of the field you should remove the quotations from it. Also, make sure that the field is one of the following types: * Free Text Field (unlimited text) * Text Field (< 255 characters) * Read-only Text Field Hope this helps, -Scott Edit: it needs to be one of those types…

I don't recall most of my dreams, but my wife sure does. I get "night terrors" that are worse than your average nightmare. From what she tells me I've done everything from making noises or talking in my sleep to shouting out, and even sleepwalking. Once I woke up downstairs in the living room with a baseball bat in hand…

I'm with @Fabienne Gerhard...I love swag, but especially when a company ships it to me as a reward for something. T-shirts and reusable shopping bags are the gold standards of swag, because I actually use them. I like little stress balls, squishy things or something to fidget with to keep on my desk, and memo books or…

Hi @Stacy Finley, While I am not a Portfolio expert, I can say that with Cloud instances of Jira and its related products and third party applications "deleted" means gone forever with no way to restore it. You would, I expect, need to recreate the page from scratch and reassign all the items from it to the releases in…
-
Hi @Noah Tuller, I don't know if you were able to answer this on your own, but I just ran into the same question and found your post. SO...I did some testing and here is what I came up with: Once you remove Portfolio and the license is no longer active the Team field becomes unavailable, even if you have data in it. I…

Hi @Hari Prasath P, Here is some documentation that may help: Ranking an Issue -Scott
