Hi @Wendy Gem Thorneloe , Do you currently use Subtasks? I haven't tried this yet, so you'll want to test it our but... You could try creating a new Issue Type called "Bug" and select the radio button in the "New Issue Type" dialog for "Sub Task Issue Type." That should set up a new issue type you can create from within…

HI @Surfaraz T , Unfortunately, this is not possible in the Cloud version of Jira. There is a field called "IssueLinkType" available in the later server versions, but it is not searchable in Cloud. You can send a note to Atlassian to ask them to add this capability here: https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/ -Scott

Thanks @Vitor Fragoso, this was helpful. I'm working on my ACP-300, and I was surprised at how difficult the questions were on my first attempt. I knew they would be hard, but i didn't expect them to read link PMP cert questions. The knowledge is there, i think, i just kept getting tripped up in the wording. Next time I'll…

I had many different jobs before I settled into project management. My very first was as a dishwasher and sometimes-food-prep guy at a local pizza shop. I was 15 years old and happy to be making $3.10 an hour to wash dishes, make pizza dough, mix pizza sauce and salad dressing, and grind cheese. I had pizza every day I…

HI @Nektarios Christodoulou This is a tricky one, and it may be different in Trello than what I’ve experienced in Jira, but I don’t think so. Commenting on a board and Moving a board are two separate global permissions, so being able to add comments and edit/delete their own comments without editing or delivering comments…

Hi @Ryan Seitz , Were you able to resolve this issue? I was searching through the Community and found your question, and a possible solution... Please see this post: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Answers-Developer-Questions/CSV-Import-How-to-import-NULL-Value/qaq-p/465816 -Scott

Hi @John Hanley ! I was searching through the Community and came across this question from a long time ago...were you ever able to find an answer? The only way I've been able to do this is with a custom field called "URL" that creates a clickable link to the location. -Scott

Hi @Rebecca Ebersol ! I was searching through the Community forum today for a similar issue and found your question. Were you ever able to get this resolved? I know there is a Workload app that probably covers it, but if you're still wondering how and an app isn't an option I'll see what I can figure out. -Scott

Hi @SHAYIQ THAKUR ! I found your question while searching for another issue I have; were you ever able to figure this one out? I tried using a bulk edit, but there doesn't seem to be a "Linked Issues" field available there. It would be interesting to see what you discovered, until then I'll keep trying. -Scott

Hi @Mattia Fracassini , You could use a Control Chart based on a filter of epics from your project. Here's how I would set it up: * Create a filter called "[project name] Epics" that pulls in every epic from that project * Create a board using that filter * Run the Control Chart Report from that new board * At the bottom…

Hi @collab-admin_lge_com , This is a bug. If an issue assigned to Sprint A is not displayed on the Scrum board when the sprint is completed because it is in a status that is not mapped to the board it will get added to the next sprint, even if you choose to send the unfinished issues to the backlog. The work around is to…

Hi @Rainie Green , My only thought on how to do this out of the box is to create separate tables for each set (e.g. a table for EU entries, a table for Asia entries, etc.) and use the "Expand" macro to expand/collapse each section for the individual tables. It would look something like this when expanded: Europe (Collapse)…

Hi @Maria Isabel Navarro , The user will also need the "Edit Issues" permission to ass story points to the issue. They will probably also want the "Schedule Issues" permission if they will be adding issues to Sprints. Hope this helps...If so, please click the "This helped me" button so others can find it. -Scott

Hi @Panagiota Kalyva , This is not something we can help with in the Community, you’ll need to contact Atlassian Support. Here is a link for you: https://support.atlassian.com/contact/ -Scott BTW...if this helps, could you please click the “This helped me” button? That will help others find it easily

Hi @Arian Hintringer , Yes, I would recommend the certifications for Cloud users (I am a Cloud user as well, and I’m working on my ACP-300.) The exams are geared towards the server products, so when you are studying the documentation be sure to review both the Cloud versions and the Server versions so you can 1) understand…

I’m not embarrassed. Not even a little bit.

Hi @SGS Admin , These keys are system generated, I do not know of any way to change them, if you are in the Cloud. If you are on server you may be able to update the key with a script. (I’m on the Cloud, so I’ve never needed to.) -Scott

Hi @Irakli Ber , You can learn about exporting here: Exporting the release and scope reports to CSV. Hope this helps, -Scott

Hi @Rita Wayne , Here is a link to the registration page. The page will show you that it has ended, but I think it will let you register to see a recorded version. https://atlassian.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_RIyOCdUqSb6oNI8QZBeeEQ If this does not work here is a link for the next one on April 23:…

Hi @Zaza Vapote , I'm making an assumption here, please let me know if it is not correct...I am assuming that you are referring to the Jira Software Cloud version subscription at a monthly rate. If this is correct then the answer depends on how many users you have. If your team is made up of 10 users, including you, then…

BTW...if you add the sprint field to the Issue View and field scheme then yes, you can assign the issue to the sprint. You may need to go into the Edit view to add it; the View Issue screen may not show the field if it is empty. I think the Bulk Edit process will probably work best for you for the current release.

Hi @Neil Regan , You could try setting up a Kanban board for your final sprint and use a filter to pull in the remaining issues. If you use a filter to grab every issue for the release that is not DONE your Kanban will allow you to manage them until everything is complete. Or...You could also do a Bulk Update to assign the…

Hi @G Krithica , Unfortunately, no...I am not aware of any way to do this in Jira. "Task" and "Story" issue types are at the same level, hierarchically; meaning the breakdown for issue types is Epic ---> Story, Task, etc. ---> Subtask. There are only three levels, and Epic is at the top while Sub-tasks is at the bottom.…

Hi @Eshwar Chand Ranga , As @Jack Brickey mentioned, the roadmap is only available for NG. There is, however, an open Suggestion to add it to the Cloud version for classic projects. You can vote for and follow it here: JSWCLOUD-17214 There may be a server version of this request as well, I'll see if I can find it. -Scott

Hi @Amit Dabli , Let me say right off the bat that this is a hard question; even companies that already are Agile struggle with finding the right approach to it. Unfortunately, there is no easy answer. I can, however, offer some guidelines to get you started down the road. First, an Agile transformation has to be a top…

Hi @[deleted] , Editing custom fields is an admin-level task, so a non admin does not have the capability to modify the single and multi-line lists. The only way to get around this is to add a customer as an admin for that project or designate a point of contact among your admins as a go-to person to perform the changes…

Hi @Vino , This sounds like it may be a permissions issue. Could you review this post and let us know if it corrects this for you? https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Assign-Button-not-in-the-Action-Bar/qaq-p/264874 -Scott
