Awesome, thank you!

You should be able to click "Explore" to filter by products, interests, and groups. I haven't found a tag cloud yet.... -Scott

The site-admin is the user that controls the entire Jira instance, including user management, applications, etc. Here is some information on it: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONF56/Site+Administrators+and+their+Permissions When you open your project you should see an icon on the lower left that looks like three…

Oai, is the site-administrator or jira-administrator for the project able to administer the team? I would expect that at least the site administrator is able to perform the work a team administrator would do. Of course, the site-admin may not want the responsibility as team admin, so you may need to select at least one…

When you set up the Confluence space you can go into Space Settings, Integrations, Application Links, and then click "Add a Link." You should be able to set up a link to each project from there. -Scott

If you just "deactivated" the user she should still appear in the user list; if you deleted the account as well I'm not sure how to recover it. Manon's answer below looks easier anyway :) -Scott

Hi Zherui, Since you are the site administrator you can reactivate her account then click her name to view her user profile and then "Log in as user" to log into her account. Once there you can remove the restrictions on the document, go back in as site admin and deactivate her account again. -Scott

Hi Bill, After you publish a document you can export it to Word or PDF using the ellipses in the top right corner. While editing the document there are also several tools under the "+" symbol on the tool bar, including adding a table of contents and "other macros." Confluence has several out of the box macros that may…

Bastiaan, could you accept the answer so the question is flagged as "Answered" and it is easier for others to find it? Thanks, Scott

Bonita, your log file won't open, the page is not available. Can you describe the error or what is happening when you try to delete the issue? -Scott

You'll want to create a Scrum Board for the project; go to Boards, Create Board, and select Scrum Board. You may have to change your project type to "Software" first though. (Project, Settings, Project Details, Project Type = Software.) -Scott

I've heard that this can happen when there are a high number of users accessing a single Jira Cloud instance. Dnyaeshwar, do you know who many people are using Jira when this happens? Assuming you are using Cloud and have a large number of users you may want to consider moving to Jira Server. (Source: I'm currently in a…

Hi Radha, You can track Scrum Master or other non-development tasks in Jira, I suggest setting up a sprint board for the development work and a kanban board for the rest. That way only the dev work is managed in sprints. -Scott

Interesting...perhaps a bi-directional sync between the two projects that, essentially, copy the issues from Project A into Project B and maintains the status in both? It's more complicated than a dashboard, but here is an add-on called Backbone that will do that for you. Since the issues exist separately in both projects…

Happy to help. There is a hyperlink in the initial list of gadgets to "Load All Gadgets, " if you haven't done so already take a look under there. (I didn't see it at first, someone pointed it out to me.) If you are on the System Dashboard you probably can't add gadgets. Check to see if you can create a new one by clicking…

Anup, if I remember correctly, the previous UI included a section in the left nav that showed just epics, and would display the issues under an epic in the main view when one epic was selected. Of course, I could be wrong...I only used Jira for a short time under the old UI. -Scott

Hi Jim, I assume you are looking for more robust or team-specific reports than what Jira has available in the "Reports" section of the project. They do some decent reporting on Burn-up/down, Versions, Created vs. Resolved, etc, but if you want more efficiency based reports you may want to check out the dashboard gadgets.…

Hi Luc! That is a very good question, one I've been confused on for a long time. The short answer is that a Sprint is a feature or set of features within an product release while a Release is the complete feature set for that particular version of the product. Both are considered "shippable" and able to be consumed by the…

Hi Quan, Here are the steps I used to print all my issues: * Click the Search icon in the top left * Select "Recent Filters" and "All Issues" * Click the "Export" icon in the top right corner * Select "Print List" or "Print Details," whichever fits your needs * Use the web browser functionality to send it to the printer.…

Hi Bastiaan, Here is some information that may help: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/How-do-I-combine-issues-from-multiple-projects-into-a-single/qaq-p/89053 -Scott

I've been a project manager for 15+ years, using Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, etc. Most of that time was spent learning and adapting MS Project to fit the various methodologies for my projects, which are often a blend of two or three. The last several years have been primarily Agile/Scrum projects, which is at best very…

Hi Cassandra, You will need to create the user and assign the user ID to the "administrators" and the "site-admin" groups. If the previous site admin is no longer in that role simply remove the user from those groups. Here are some instructions that may help:…

Hi Matheiu, I'm assuming your language settings are French? There could be something in the SQL that is causing a collation error... "running MySQL query SELECT table_name, character_set_name, collation_name FROM information_schema.COLUMNS WHERE table_schema = '<db_name>' AND collation_name != 'utf8_bin'; I then created…

Great, glad I could help! -Scott

You're welcome, glad I could help! -Scott

James, you may be able to use the Label field in the Issue to label the tag issues as such then create a new board that filters on that label. Will that meet your needs? -Scott
-
Hi Sezal, I suggest you check two things...first, verify that your project uses the issue type "epic" by opening the project, going to Settings, then Issue Types. If epics are available for the project you will see them there. If not you'll need to click the Actions button and either edit the issue types or select a…

Do you have a Dashboard set up for that project? If not, create one first then go to Dashboards > Manage Dashboards. You should see a "star" shaped checkbox next to each Dashboard name indicating whether or not it is a "favorite." Uncheck each star except for the one you want as the default and voilà! it is now the default…

There are a few videos on YouTube that may help, I found this one when I first started a few months ago: https://youtu.be/y1YTsMTrC7c -Scott

I use an add-on product called Backbone Sync, and I've set up a bi-directional sync between the projects with dependencies. I documented how I configured it here: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Marketplace-Apps-questions/Jira-Backbone-issue-quot-backsync-quot/qaq-p/742781 Hope this helps. -Scott
