I had a bit of work done on the house last summer and fall; replaced the sanitary and storm drain lines from the house to the street, rebuilt the porch, and replaced the concrete walkway with brick. It looks nice but my yard and front gardens are now a quagmire of mud, fill dirt, and left over stones. Guess what I'll be…

Hi @Doug Anderson , The ability to convert a space to a personal space was removed, there are a couple of requests to add it back in: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-32918 https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-32918 You can vote on the Cloud issue if you want, the more interest it gathers the more likely…

You do know that there is a Dr. Who Build-A-Bear out now and a Baby Yoda bear on the way, right? RIGHT?

Awesome, glad I could help! Could you mark my answer as "Accepted?" That will help others find it.

What you described is one instance. An "instance" is completely different account, url, billing, etc. Think of it this way: You use Jira Cloud tool at your company and your customer uses their own, completely separate, Jira Cloud tool at their company. The second method I described would allow you to link those two…

Hi @Koen Paquay , First, a question for you: Are the individual kanban boards in the same Cloud instance or are they on different instances? Boards are just visual representations of filters, so this can be done relatively easily but there is an additional step and you'll need a marketplace app if they are in different…

I have so little impulse control, and i'm a sucker for watches. Some days are better than others, but I think this was the worst/best story: I once bought a watch because I like watches and it was pretty. I felt bad that I was getting a new watch and my wife wasn't so I bought her a bracelet. The matching necklace was…

Hi @vincenzo.cavalcanti , The velocity report does not include stories added to the sprint after it has started in the "commitment" column. it does include the added stories in the "completed" column so you can get an accurate representation of the team's velocity over time. If you run the sprint report (or click one of…

Hi @jurgita.juzukonyte , Could you check the estimation statistics setting of the board? (From the Active Sprint or the Backlog click the ellipsis on the right, select "Board Settings," then select "Estimation." The Board is probably set to use the Original Time Estimate" statistic and not story points. If so switch it to…

In 1999 I was working as a help desk agent for a DOS based real-estate accounting software company, and Y2K was a huge concern. For years the software had been coded with a two digit year, and our DOS development team spent months working on patches to change it while the sales and implementation/conversion teams worked…

Thanks @Charu Nisheeth . The velocity chart shows what was committed at the start of the sprint; it does not take into account the stories that were added mid-sprint. The red line of the burndown, however, shows the total story points that are not done on each day of the sprint. The grey line shows the "expected" burndown…
-
Hi @jurgita.juzukonyte , Could you share an image of the burndown chart and the sprint report? That will help diagnose the issue. Off hand, it sounds like either you are looking at two different sprints or you are looking at the same sprint from two different boards based on different filters. -Scott

Hi @Charu Nisheeth , Could you share an image of the graph? That will help us understand what might be happening. Also, take a look at the sprint report for that sprint. I suspect that you've completed several story points outside of the sprint. -Scott

Easy....My first Rush concert: Roll the Bones, November 16th, 1991 at Savage Hall on the University of Toledo campus. A fraternity brother and I sat out all night before tickets went on sale and got 8th row floor seats, center stage, for us and 6 others. Best show ever. I still remember playing the air drums to Tom Sawyer.…

Hi @[deleted] , I wrote an article about this not too long ago, you can find it here: Managing Multiple Projects in a Single Board or…One Scrum to Rule Them All Let me know if you have questions. -Scott

Hi @douglas.unger , That all depends on the level of detail you need and if one tool is able to provide it all. There are things that MS Project can do that Jira cannot, like enforcing the successor/predecessor relationship so that work on a successor cannot start until the predecessor is complete, creating a critical path…

Hi @Poorvi Jhawar , I have some things I do to reduce the number of meetings on my calendar. * If I am listed as "optional" I don't go; if the meeting really needed my input I'd be listed as "required." * I always have an agenda that lists the goals of the meeting with any I host. I only invite people that are primary…

@Emily Koch I have some great memories of cooking with my grandparents. My grandmother on my mom's side made "Fasnachtsküchle" on Fat Tuesday when I was growing up, using a recipe that was passed down for generations. When I was learning how to bake bread she wrote it down for me and helped convert the measurements from…

Hi @Haris Siddiqui , Do you publish release notes with each version you put out? If so you could include a "known issues" list in the notes for customers to refer to when they experience a bug that was not addressed before the version was released. I also suggest that you have a list of known issue for your QA analysts to…

Nope, Charlie wouldn't do that...She's a good girl.

FYI...I have a very nice cat available for adoption. See photos above. :)

@Emily Koch They don't even notice it. It's done while they are still under the anesthetic, and cauterized so it doesn't bleed. Heals up in a couple of days. I saw the whole procedure in action once when I did some volunteer photography work for a local agency.

@Shawn Kessler She is, yes. When feral cats get spayed or neutered the vet will "tip" the ear to show that they have been fixed. It's usually done as part of a "TNR" (Trap, Neuter, Relase) program so the people know which cats in the colony need trapped and which do not. The cats are healthier for it and it keeps the fearl…

I'm not embarrassed to say hat I'm the neighborhood "Crazy Cat Person." We have 6 in the house right now (one is a foster) and between 3-6 feral cats that we take care of. During the winter they pretty much live in my garage. So...here is Milo with his murder mitten out just to remind me who's in charge and CiCi (because…

Hi @Prakash R , That is a really good question...Who is "responsible" to get the work done on time and, more importantly, who is "accountable" if it is late? At the heart of the matter, you are correct; the entire team is responsible for the success or failure of the project, the scrum master is there to guide the team and…

Hi @Thomas Lanzoni , Boards are based on filters, so it is easiest just to create a new Scrum board based on the same filter used for the Kanban board. -Scott
