We’ve just hit two weeks out from the migration and things are feeling more stable, so this will be the last official, ad hoc “migration update” you should expect - although of course we will continue to post release notes and announcements here, as always. 😊
Fixes that just shipped:
👉️ Spam: The integration between Atlassian SSO and our new platform created a loophole in our spam system - and boy howdy, did the spammers figure that one out. We had to close the loophole and then clean out lots and lots of spam. That should be resolved now! Thanks for all your reports and help.
👉️ Profile stats: Your community profile should now show your correct accepted answers, number of posts, and other profile data. Let us know if you see any further discrepancies!
Note: As a reminder, these counts are now net, current-state values. Deleted posts, un-accepted answers and removed likes are no longer counted, and nested replies are no longer counted as answers.
👉️ Following: As you probably have seen, we have published a guide on following content and are working to enable email digests to give you additional following options.
Shipping soon:
👉️ Loom embeds: We are shipping a fix that will allow Loom videos to be embedded more easily in posts.
👉️ Draft URLs: Article authors who need URLs to their articles in advance will be able to grab draft links, a parity feature with our previous platform.
Currently in the works:
- Visual update for the “Like” button so you can see when you’ve clicked it
- An update to the Articles page to make it more useful and also show 25 articles by default
- More information on the Idea workflow, which will soon be reviewed by our Community Advisory Board. You can see what happens when an Idea moves to Under Consideration right here, though! If you’re interested in keeping up with the progress of an Idea, you can bookmark the specific Idea or follow the Ideas space itself.
- And of course, we’ve logged all the reported bugs, and will ship fixes as soon as we are able to.
Please keep the feedback coming and thank you for your patience during these first weeks!
