Follow keywords or phrases (Search Alerts on Khoros)

I'd like to define certain keywords or search phrases for which I will get notifications, like the Search Alerts on the Khoros platform.

Why does this matter to me?
This was one of my preferred ways of interacting with the community.

I subscribed to certain keywords because I have specific knowledge and I like to help if people have a problem within my expertise.
As a marketplace partner, we build apps for specific problems and use cases. Subscribing to them allows me to respond to people with a possible solution to their problem.

+1 for this.

Search alerts were one of the most useful ways to follow the Community. Following a whole forum creates a lot of noise, while following specific keywords or phrases makes it much easier to find conversations where you can actually contribute.

It would be great to see this come back, especially if alerts could support multiple keywords or phrases and perhaps some basic filtering.

This is a must have feature. Atlassian if you are listening you have an enormous suite of products, it's impossible to follow 'the community'.

Without this feature you are basically telling power users like Atlassian Champions your time is not valuable. Worse the result is a lot lower engagement.

Not a nice to have feature. Surprised wasn't a 1.0 version at least upon launch give I'm sure you have stats that show it was a popular feature.

Thanks for the feedback on this one - the 1.0 version is tag following but I agree it is not the same. It was one of the biggest feature gaps we identified and we are moving up the priority to #1. But votes and comments still very welcome.

@Monique vdB since you can see it has clear value and have realized it is a clear gap then I'm happy.

Note: it needs to include filters by product. Example we have a find and replace app for Confluence. I would get so many alerts for Jira, JSM… as I could not filter for Confluence. Data Center is still a thing so it need to have DC/cloud filter as well.

In a good way you are adding more products, but it is also why the problem has got a lot worse.

As an admin I would use it to find out about new features, bugs, opportunities. But that is not possible if I get lots of irrelevant emails. This is why I know from personal experience lots did not bother and for that reason didn't engage with the community, desire yes, time to 'vet' emails no.
