When I apply a filter for a specific product category. It does not display the children of the initiatives with that filter. My expectation is a query or filter for a property of the initiative that will return those initiative and their full hierarchy. Is that possible.
Hi @Greg_Williams -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
I do not believe that is possible with out-of-the-box JQL as it cannot perform a nested query. Instead you would need one of the marketplace addon apps to enhance JQL or a reporting addon that can filter parents and show all of their children, regardless of their fields.
If you only need this list one time, a work-around would be to identify the initiatives with one query, capture their keys, and then perform a second query to check the parents. For example:
key IN (ABC-123, ABC-456) OR parent IN (ABC-123, ABC-456)
Kind regards,Bill
