How can i set Issue Types for corresponding group

Question

We want to setting for one group only create one of  issue type .

For example.

java team =only create story issue

QA team= only create bug issue

Hello @Stacy Chiang ,

If you have any specified permissions to groups. by using that permission you can configure in "Create" transition of the workflow.

For the above example, who have "Create issues" permission are able to create the issues.

If you restrict any 2 other permissions  to different groups (Java Team) and (QA Team).

For Example, I made a change to permission scheme. i added "Administer Projects" permission is only to "Java Team).

Go to story issue type Workflow ---> Edit --> select Create Transition --> removed the existing validator & added "Administer Projects" permission.

publish workflow.

if you done like the above, all can able to see story in the dropdown of create screen, only Java Team Can able to Create story, other can't create stories.

This is with the by default features, it's complex one. if you Adaptive script runner, please check their library. by writing scripts it may be possible.
