Filter on labels of stories but also return linked sub-tasks without labels

Question

Hi,

We have 1 jira project with 2 teams. I want to use a quick filter to show the stories and sub-tasks of team 1 and those of team 2.

All the stories are labelled with either "team 1" or "team 2". The sub-tasks have no labels.

I know how I can filter the stories for team 1 (type = Story AND labels = team 1) but how can I make sure the sub-tasks of only these stories also appear? Without:

* Having to label the sub-tasks with "team 1";
* Having to install a plug-in.

Your help is much appreciated!

Unfortunately as per my knowledge you cannot  do without installing a plugin

like i am using JQL Search Extensions for Jira & reports

What you need to do is.

* Create one sub query "type = Story AND labels = team 1"
* Then use this query to get your results.

subTaskOfQuery="parentissueswithlabel" or issuesInQuery="parentissueswithlabel"

Please note that "parentissueswithlabel" is the alias of the sub query. This query will return all issues with label=yourlabel and their child issues.

above query will only only return stories for team1 and sub tasks belongs to those stories.
