how does public access for pages work

Alexa_0aw7rs

Is there a way to invite many people to view a page, but not to edit it?

We want to limit the users with edit privileges but not limit the users with viewing privileges. Is that an option?

Or do we need to make the site public to anyone in order for that to happen?

Thanks
