Unable to add status to columns in JIRA search filters

In my previous filters, I was able to add the status issues are in as a column. Please see the photo attached.

I now am unable to find 'status' when I search for columns. Displaying the status has been a very important part of filters that we can no longer use.

Did this functionality get removed?

I can't tell much from your image. is it appearing here as it does in your instance? I wonder if you are working w/ a Next-gen project here.

unable to pull the circled 'status' into columns. Did they take this out with a new jira cloud update or something?

Jacob, I assume you are running a JQL search and you are saying that Status is not an option in the column drop down. If so, I am not having an issue w/ the status column. here is an example...
