Can Jira Auto progress tickets down the workflow?

Question

I wanted to know if there is a way that allows me to link progressions on the workflow to other actions.
For example, i want the ticket to progress from open too to do once the sprint the ticket is in is activated, are such things possible?

This should be done in your board column mapping.

Map the column Activated to the todo status.

The Scriptrunner plugin has features to listen fro Sprint started events

You can then access the sprint issues and perform transitions on them.
