Is there a way to bulk upload information to Confluence Spaces?

Question

We have project information within Confluence as separate spaces. There's information for each project in the form of tables and different pages.

Does anyone know if it is possible to add information to multiple spaces as a bulk upload rather than having to do so individually?

Is there a way to create space templates with information per space in a bulk format?

Would be a lifesaver if there's a way.

Atlassian Connect allows you to automate content actions in Cloud using the Confluence API - depending on what you are trying to achieve, the easiest approach could be to build a javascript add-on that runs in the browser.

Alternatively, you could try the Confluence Command Line Interface for Confluence Cloud, which gives you access to the same API.

Hi Lewis,

No, there isn't a way to do this in Confluence Cloud.  It would be possible in a server version (ultimately the pages are just HTML/XML, JavaScript and CSS like most web pages) but you don't have the same access in the Cloud version.

As a workaround, you could create a space that contains the pages you would normally add into your new project spaces, and copy those pages over to any new space.  This wouldn't upload the data but it would give you the pages.  Alternatively, Confluence has very good Word Import functionality, so you could create a Word document that you upload and split according to the headings to create the new pages.  This has the advantage that - presumably - someone has to create the data for each new project anyway, and they could do it in a standardised Word template document that you then import to create the pages and content.

Neither option is exactly what you need, but your bulk creation/upload options in Cloud are limited....
