JIRA mailbox handler is not able to access the mailbox.

Question

I have set up the server and when tested it is succesful yet when i set up the mail handler it is fails when i use the test function, I cannot see why. I have inserted a screen shot of what the error is.

Please any help would be appreciated as this has been in the works for about 2 months now.

Given the error message, it appears that you're using a shared mailbox.  This is actually something that Jira does not current support connections to using IMAP.  There is a helpful KB about this problem over in A3 BAD User is authenticated but not connected error message when using JIRA with Office365.

If you can't use a different kind of mailbox, the recommended work-around is to use the POP protocol instead of IMAP.
