Is there an automated added/removed user report in Jira cloud?

We receive a weekly email from slack and now management wants to know if Jira cloud can produce a report of users too.

It is a weekly summary update and it tells you who has been added or removed from the tool.

For example:

Weekly Summary - Saturday, October 13th – Saturday, October 20th

Hope you had a good weekend! Here's a summary of what happened in your workspace last week:

2 members were added
Dave T and ray m

6 members became inactive
Simon L (full member), Kris S L (full member), Maii (full member), nicolas (full member), Jaraplasan (full member), and Rachelle S (multi-channel guest)

Hello Melissa,

The Audit Log provide you with the users that have been added/deactivated/deleted in your JIRA site, however, it also provides you other kinds of actions in your site.

That being said, you can export your audit log and filter it using the Event category column to display only the logs related to User Management events.

You can navigate to JIRA Settings > System to find the Audit Log session:

That being said, you can export your Audit log (CSV) and use the Event category to select only the events related to user management, so it will only return the information you want.

You can navigate to JIRA Settings > System to find the Audit Log session:

Thank you, I have exported the user list the way that you mention.

Management was asking if the report can be automated instead of exporting a report manually.

Hello Melissa,

As you can see in this documentation, you can use JIRA REST API to configure a script to return the auditing events of the category User Management.

To build such a Script, you will need someone familiar with JSON format, however, I believe it should not be too hard to implement at all with the proper documentation.
