Is there a feature for confluence that allows in draft save option without Publishing?

Question

I'm aware that confluence docs are automatically saved, and you can resume editing a doc at any time, but is there a plug-in or feature that can be added to manually save the draft without publishing?

Multiple times the page has failed to save draft, and I've been forced to open a new tab and copy over the information that wasn't saved.

It would also make typing doc's less stressfull, as manually saving a draft would be more convienient then having to rely on it to save automatically.

Hi,

I know its quite a late response, but I just recenty found the following JIRA Task https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-1632 describing a workaround that may help:

I saw this demoed at Atlassian Summit and it would pretty much do what you're saying.

Also, I do have the onDemand Version, so it wouldn't be avaliable anyway.
