How can I modify reporter and assignee?

Jared Praino

I am trying to edit the reporter for an Epic.  Inside of permissions, everyone (including administrators - my role) are allowed to edit the reporter and assignee of an issue.

When viewing the board, I am able to edit reporter and assignee for any issue type except epic.  How do I fix this permissions issue?

Hi @Jared Praino

Permission scheme in a JIRA project is for all the issue types and not just for few types.

Did you check the permission scheme of the project to which the EPIC belongs to? Note that the stories can be linked to epics from other projects as well.

Are you able to edit other fields than reporter & assignee?

Can you check whether you are able to edit other epics which are in different statuses? Could be that issue.editable might be set to false for that status.

The other things i would check is if there are any scriptrunner behaviours applied on the EPIC issue type that disables edit.
