Need to send email to issue reporter

Hello,

We have a requirement that when ever we update an issue there should be a custom email shoot to the reporter about the update about the issue.

But we have custome field where we store the email id.

It should pick the email id from that and send a custom email id.

Can you guide us how we can go this.

Take a look at the Creating a Notification Scheme documentation at https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Creating+a+Notification+Scheme that tells you how to map a notification to a custom field and get the mail addresses.

In my case if i select custom field value , the drop down doesnt have any value.

Can you tell me why is this case.
