Can I add more notification triggers in Jira Cloud for Slack?

Hi,

we are using Jira Cloud for Slack https://confluence.atlassian.com/jiracorecloud/jira-cloud-for-slack-950819031.html in our projects, but I'm missing some crucial notifications.

Our aim is to reduce notifications by mail and rather have them posted in slack channels which is basically working very well. However we would need at least the following notification triggers so we can really make sure that everyone stays up to date with an issue:

- Description added/edited

- Comment added/edited

- Sprint value added/edited

- Priority added/edited

Without those one would have to check email and slack for updates on issues.

 

I didn't find the above notifications triggers to be available. Did I miss something? If this is not featured in Jira Cloud for Slack is there maybe another App that has more options available?

Hi Stefan! Thanks for your message. I'm a PM in the team that developed Jira Cloud for Slack.

Of the notification triggers that you've listed, I'm afraid the only one that the app currently supports is "comment added."

That said, we're working on updates to the app at the moment, so I'm really interested to understand more about your requirements. Specifically:

• If we had a general "issue updated" trigger available, would this suit your use case? Or would this make your Slack channels too noisy?
• How do you set up your channels to support these notifications to team members? e.g. are there different channels per Jira project, do individuals set up personal subscriptions where Jirabot DM's them notifications?
