No menu for configuring SumUp plugin

Question

Hi,

I'm very new to Jira and most of the documentation available seems to be from past interfaces, so bear with me.

I recently install the SumUp plugin, but outside than adding gadgets to a dashboard, I cannot see how to configure it for other things, like summing in filters.  The documentation I have found shows menus that just don't exist for me.

Any idea what I'm missing?

Fyi, I heard from the plugin maker.  The feature I was after (Sums in Issue Nav) does not work on the Cloud Hosted Jira due to some restrictions.  They actually have that in the documentation, I just missed that section.

Off to find a new solution.

Hey @Lennart,

I was afraid of that.  I just used the video as a reference of the feature set, then presumed I could navigate any changes in the newer interface.

Indeed, the features shown for the plugin from decandis would meet my needs, and I have installed the plugin.  This part:

In particular is what I want, but there is no interface to enable/configure that total row for the Issue Naigator.  All can find is gadgets.  If I want totals for 100 stored filters, I can't have 100 gadgets on the dashboard.

Hopefully, someone who knows this plugin can enlighten us both!

Hey @Alex Zlaten.

Yes, this looks like a different plugin. Please don't rely on any outdated (yes, 4 years is way outdated for the atlassian ecosystem) YouTube videos when it comes to configuring JIRA or any JIRA plugins.

You should still be able to fulfill your business requirements on summing within e.g. the Issue Navigator View by using the plugin from decadis (see my first reply). Never used it - still, looks pretty promising.
