Not able to login JIRA

Question

I installed Jira server in my machine. While launching http://localhost:8080 url, it asks credentials.

I entered user name as prabhu.eee997@gmail.com and entered the password. It throws username and password are incorrect.

So I tried to reset the password by "Can't access your account link" . But still i did not get any reset mail.

I am new user to JIRA. I am using JIRA version above 7.

From the above references, I am not able to identify the perfect one to solve this login issue.

Hi @Prabhu,

The mail function needs to be configured after the Jira installation is complete before it can be used. Please refer to:https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONF54/Configuring+a+Server+for+Outgoing+Mail

If you forget the administrator password, you can refer to:https://confluence.atlassian.com/jira/retrieving-the-jira-administrator-192836.html?_ga=2.138486963.1489035594.1528968045-570950276.1528968045

Hope it helps.
