Hide everything but content for anonymous users

Question

We switched to confluence for our public and private documentation.

The problem we have is that currently, users connecting to our pages see pretty much everything we see.. grayed out options, collaborator picture, comments, history (x hours ago) , page information.

Can we hide this for our users as it doesn't seem to really be made for public access when you see all these options. I know you can use JS to hide options in the server version but we are on the cloud version.

If there is anyone wondering in 2025, how to do this, the Confluence Cloud app Spacecraft will let you configure which page elements you want to display on public spaces (btw, I work for the vendor behind the app)

I am sure there is more than one approach but my idea is to create a space that you want the public to view, and allow anonymous access to that space only. You can change the landing page to the front page of that space through Confluence Admin>Further configuration. On your landing page you can omit the features from the dashboard that you prefer the public not to see, for example the recently updated macro.
