Get notifications when a task due date is near or past

Is there any way for a user to be notified (emailed) when a task assigned to them in Confluence Cloud is near due, or past due?

There is a open request for this functionality so you can follow up on CONFCLOUD-34389.

There is also a free plugin, but it is server only... (Task reminder)
