How can I get a field to display on the summary/ board view?

Question

Within a project we have decided to break the team into two groups. I have created a custom field for groups. I would like this to show up on the summary view when looking at the backlog or sprint board.

If there is a better way to display different groups in all views (color, picture, etc), please let me know.
