How can I add watchers while creating an issue with OnDemand?

I am aware that Atlassian has declared that they are not working on this and there is a Watcher Firled plugin, but that doesn't work with OnDemand. Anybody know a hack?

it s not the same, but an approach could be use a Multi User Picker field and add it to your Notification Scheme

I have looked around to see if there is some workaround to accomplish this in the create issue screen, but I'm afraid it just is not possible. The only way to add wathcers is doing it manually after creating the issue.
