github jira integration

Hi, we have configured github to Jira . while trying to add repositories I am keep on getting below error " Please supply a valid GitHub repository URL", I have entered the github accessible url and then url/branchname as well, but it didn't work, Any help please?

If you're on OnDemand, "localhost" will not be a valid host. Please provide a host that is accessible from the internet

Yes, I have tried with fully qualified domain name which is accessible from any browser.. but again it reports the same error.
