}We need to export the list of add-ons/apps installed in Jira and Confluence Cloud Production. Is there a way to also get month-by-month usage data for these apps from the beginning of the year? Is there a built-in report, API, or Analytics option available?

Hi @Deepa Udayakumar , good audit question! @Josh and  @Mihai_LeanZero have covered it well . Connected apps filtered to "Admin" or "User" is your source of truth for the list, but there's no export button. Mihai's UPM call is undocumented on Cloud, so I'd use it for a quick JSON pull, not anything you depend on.

For month-by-month usage since January, Atlassian can't give you that today. Insights > Analytics only covers Atlassian's own apps, and the audit log keeps just 180 days. To build history going forward, I'd export the audit log monthly (or automate it with the Events API) and filter on the third-party app API request events. Some vendors also expose their own usage stats, so it's worth asking them.
ECO-470 is worth a vote too.

Hi @Deepa Udayakumar, adding to Josh on the export part. CLOUD-12820 asks for an official list endpoint, but you can get a file today.

GET /rest/plugins/1.0/ works for Jira, and /wiki/rest/plugins/1.0/ for Confluence, with site-admin credentials and the header Accept: application/vnd.atl.plugins.installed+json (plain JSON gets a 406). It's undocumented, so it could change.

Filter on userInstalled=true to drop system plugins. It only lists Connect apps. Forge apps don't show up there, so take those from the Connected apps page.

Activity inside each app is the real gap. ECO-470 asks for third-party app usage statistics and is still gathering interest. If your plan includes the organization audit log (Atlassian Guard or Enterprise), it records third-party app API requests, but only for 180 days. So January to April is already gone, and month-by-month activity since January isn't something Atlassian can give you.

Thanks Josh, that's a helpful overview.

One important distinction for the monthly figures: Deepa, when you say "usage", do you mean licensed user counts, billing information, or actual activity within each app?

Atlassian provides 12-month user-count trends for certain Marketplace Multi-Instance plans, but these figures should not be confused with actual app usage.

For activity within each individual app, reporting capabilities may depend on the vendor.

Which apps are you looking at, and which subscription plans do you have?
