The date are not showing correctally

Hi there.

On 30 September 2026, I added a comment to the ticket. However, the page displays it as "1 month ago". This can be misleading, as the same label was already being shown on 1 October 2026, just one day later. I would have expected the relative time to reflect a more accurate elapsed period rather than immediately rounding up to a month.

I've tried to reproduce the issue, and here are my findings

* I checked a comment added on Sep 28, 2026 to a Jira Software ticket, and it is displayed as added last month
* However, a comment added on Sep 29, 2026 to a JSM ticket is displayed as added 1 month ago

This has now been escalated to the Atlassian Team

This is interesting. 👀 I guess you'd expect to have "1 month ago" label once 30 days have passed (or something like that).

I did test this on one of my instances and would seem things are displaying a bit differently 🤔

Maybee… you're using a different build of Jira, which does display in a format that is a bit off.

If you're on a paid plan, could you reach out to Atlassian Support for them to check which build you're using and if that specific version results in what you're seeing at your end? 🎟️
