Getting an error when trying to move confluance page from one space to another

Adding to @Staffan Redelius's permission point, these are the root causes I see most often behind this exact banner when permissions are fine:

* a page somewhere in the tree whose title already exists in the target space
* a restriction on the destination parent, in your case Squads, or on one of its children
* whiteboards, databases or live docs mixed into the tree
* simply too much content in one go, which is what the hint about smaller batches in the dialog refers to

The fastest way to tell them apart is to move the page to the space root with no parent, and to move one single child page. If the space root works, it is Squads. If one page works and the tree does not, it is content or volume.

Have you managed to sort this out? I had similar experiences with this a couple of times, and it was usually a system issue → meaning it resolved itself after some time (e.g., you couldn't move content, but after a couple of hours it worked 🤷)

But yeah, as Staffan said, if it's persistent, reach out to the technical support team and they should be able to sort this out 🎟️

Do you have the permission to delete pages in the space you are moving from and create pages in the space you are moving the page to? That is the most common reason not to be able to move pages.

But I have a vauge memory that the error-message should say something about permissions in that case and not the general error message you have posted above.

It could be related to indexing of your Confluence instance. If the problem persists send a request to Atlassian support https://support.atlassian.com/
