Is it possible to expand all group entries in the list view by default?

Good morning,

I’m trying out Jira and would like to know if it’s possible to expand all grouped items in the list view by default.
At the moment, only the first grouped item is expanded.

As Miguel already said, there's no option for this, and the closest feature suggestions would be these two:

* JRACLOUD-90532: Option to Set Expand all Items in List views by default on Jira Software Project
* JRACLOUD-98089: Implement Expand/Collapse All functionality in the new List tab

What you could maybe do/try is (if you're a space admin), use Save View functionality to ensure that your specific grouping and column configurations are preserved for everyone in the project (although this saves a structure and not necessarily the state. 🫤

What I'd encourage you to do is provide feedback via the UI. Those should land in the product team idea backlog and, hopefully, they might decide to develop it.

Currently, Jira’s list view does not provide an option to have all grouped items expanded by default. The groups are collapsed/expanded manually, and Jira remembers the state only within the current view/session in some cases.

If you need all groups expanded, you’ll need to expand them manually. You could also submit or vote for a feature request in Atlassian’s Jira Product Discovery/Community if this is an important workflow requirement.
