Same generic backend error I've seen on a couple of other recent threads here too ("Something went wrong on our end"), not something wrong with the site name you picked, points to a temporary issue on Atlassian's side during site provisioning. Seems to be affecting multiple people right now, not just you.
 
A few things to try:
 
1. Just retry, sometimes it goes through on a second or third attempt
2. Try a different browser or incognito window
3. If it keeps failing, use the "contact support" link in the error message and reference your Trace ID (4290db3e7aa04304b9b0d353020b74d9), that lets Atlassian trace exactly what failed on their backend
 
Given this is now the third similar report I've seen this week, might be worth checking status.atlassian.com too, in case there's a known ongoing issue with site creation specifically.
