Would like to assign QE contact to components

Question

Similarly to the functionality of Bugzilla, I am looking for a way to assign a QE contact to a component. I would like the QE contact field to be automatically populated when a work item is assigned the component.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Automation doesn't impact performance that much, it's based on the action you want to do.

Worst action are JQL conditions, as a JQL can get a lot of issues, so keep JQL conditions in check and first use the QJL to search and see what the scope of the JQL is.

An automaton impact is based on what you want the automation to do, not on using automation.

It's the same relation to a filter, using a based filter on getting lots of information into a dashboard, will impact the dashboard loading time and therefore also overall performance.

Who by the way told you to not use automations, as this is a key product to help you out.

On Cloud not that much, performance of a rule depends on the setup of the rule and the action that triggers the rule.

Your request is exactly where automation is build for.
