Comala Approval Workflow Use Page Properties User for Approver

Question

We are migrating from DC to cloud and in DC we were able to set a page properties for a page with one of the properties being ProcessOwner.

I can then use the variable ProcessOwner in the approval step in the workflow so that only the person that is in the ProcessOwner property can approve the page.

In cloud this does not seem to be working as the approval is not being limited to the person in the ProcessOwner proerty.

Does anyone have any guidance on how we can achieve the same outcome in cloud?

The page properties approver probably doesn't carry over. Not tested on a Cloud site though.

On DC it runs on Page Property References, e.g. {approval:Review|user=&@Reviewer@} reads the value straight from the page properties table.

I couldn't find an equivalent in the Cloud docs. Cloud uses workflow parameters instead, and for approvals the docs say "Use parameters to dynamically define reviewers."

So the rebuild is a ProcessOwner parameter of type User with Scope = Page. Then point the approval reviewers at it.

Catch is where the value lives. It's set in Comala's own workflow dialog, not the page properties macro: "You can only edit them at the individual page level."

Painful with lots of pages. Did any parameter values come across in your migration?
