Automation - Assignee is removed

Question

Need help on this one... I created different automations to transition the parent of issues to match the child.

* When a Sub-task transition to In Progress, the Story transition to In Progress.
* When Story transition to In Progress, the Epic transition to In Progress.
* When a Story transition to Done, the Epic transition to Done.

The issue I'm having is that for an unknown reason, when the Story transition to Done, the Epic does transition to Done (with proper Resolution), but it removes the Assignee from the Epic... (the assignee remains for #1 and #2)

I have tried a few things, but I'm at a loss to fix this.

Golden words, I have plenty Automations triggering Automations myself and sometimes behavior are... Tricky... in nicest words.

Hi @Helene Rivest -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Adding to the suggestions from @Marc -Devoteam- you may want to check the issue history and if any other automation rules are causing this.

That is, the transition of the Epic may be triggering a different rule...and that rule is clearing the Assignee.

Let them know which project this issue relates to end if the issue type Epic transtitions to done the Assigee field is cleared.

This should provide them with enough information.
