We have a ISO 27001 ISMS Confluence system that uses the version number for version control of all policy, procedures and the like. How do I get that back easily? A hover over the date and time stamp change showing the version number would work
Hi @Keiran Craft -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Several people are running into challenges with the Confluence version history changes rolling out this week. You may want to give Atlassian feedback, or submit a defect if needed. Here is a related question describing how to do those actions:

Kind regards,Bill
As a workaround, you can use the three dot menu for the entry in the new version history on the right side to copy a version specific link. Paste this into the address bar or any text editor, the very last digit is your page version.
That being said, I think the re-design is a catastrophy and should be reverted immediately.
Thanks
