Hi everyone, I’m using Confluence Cloud and I’d like to better understand what options I have for controlling or customizing the notification email that gets sent when I publish a blog post in a space. Specifically, I’m wondering: * Email layout & template* Can I customize the layout of the notification email (header/footer, logo, colors, fonts)? * Is there any way to add custom text or a standard footer just for blog notification emails? * Can different spaces use different email templates for blogs? * Content behavior* How does Confluence decide how much of the blog content to show in the email (excerpt vs. full content)? * Is there any setting to force only a short summary, or always show the full blog body * Are there any formatting elements in the blog (macros, images, tables) that don’t render or behave differently in the email? Is there official documentation on blog notification emails and what’s configurable versus fixed, that can be shared? Hi Sean,

not sure if this applies to your use case, but if you have admin permissions you could create your own email notifications via custom Confluence Automations.
In its simplest form, this could look something like this:

This would give you lots of freedom regarding the notification's content and would serve as a replacement for Confluence's built-in notifications.

Oh, I had not thought of this. I don't think it would work for what we had in mind, but it does give me ideas for other things. Thanks for the suggestion!

@Sean_Cullen Another alternative is using the flexible notification schemes offered by the Better Content Archiving app.

In nutshell, it can periodically run a CQL search and send a 100% custom email from the content items found. You can basically edit the HTML code of the email template and add your custom content and styling:

In your use case you could just run this query every hour:

type = blogpost and created > now("-1h")

... and send your custom email. (It will find the blog posts created in the last hour.)

It is very easy to set it up, so why not try it?
