Using rest/agile api with service account

Hi, 

I am trying to call the GET /rest/agile/1.0/board endpoint using a service account with API Token. The token I am using was generated with all the available scopes. However, I receive the following error : "Unauthorized; scope does not match". 
Is this a limitation when using service accounts, or am I missing something in my setup?

read:project:jira
