Why is Comment View reloading irregularly?

Question

When viewing the Comment View (right sidebar) for a Confluence page, it is (seemingly) reloading at random times. The content of the page does not reload, but the Comment View clears, the loading image appears, and it renders again.

This makes reading comments extremely difficult and frustrating. If I am in the process of adding a comment and it reloads, I have to start over.

Using the popup comments (clicking the comments balloon in say, a database table view) works fine.

Restarting both the browser and the computer does not help, as this has happened over multiple sessions across weeks on multiple Confluence pages.

This resonates. If true, it's also disappointing, because the particular table in question is not that large, IMHO. It's currently 16x16 with 7 active comments,

@sheriegel if you're using databases, I'll just say they are a mess sometimes. Especially when you have a lot of entries (or if multiple people work on them at the same time).

Haven't used comments much there, but the database itself starts moving around/scrolling even if you're not doing anything, and similar to what you've been experiencing - 'refreshing' without refreshing the whole page. 😕

I normally use Chrome, which has several extensions. I just tried both Edge and incognito mode in Chrome and have the same issue in both as well.
