Help to set up a warning label report

Hi there,

I am wondering if there is an easy way to set up a summary report using the 'warning label' panel in the same way I can create an action items list (report) or a decision report from nominated spaces.

Any insights with a step-by-step instruction would be appreciated.

Hi Amanda,

You can do this in two ways:

Option 1 – Easiest:
Add a label (e.g. warning) to any page with a Warning panel, then use the Content by Label or Content Report Table macro to create a live summary of all those pages.

Option 2 – Advanced:
If you can’t add labels, search using CQL:

macroName:warning* AND spacekey:YOURSPACEKEY

This finds all pages containing a Warning panel.

Using labels is usually the simplest and most reliable approach.

Hi Amanda,

Welcome to the community 🥳 Currently Confuence does not offer a direct report macro for Warning panels. You can first use embed your warning macro within a Conten Properties table on the relevant pages, then apply labels, and use the Report macro to pull summaries into 1 chosen central page.

Steps:
A. Apply Warnings to Your Pages: On each page where you use the Warning macro (/warning in the editor), wrap or summarize it in a Content Properties macro.

* Type /content properties to insert the macro.
* Inside, create a table with columns like "Warning Summary" (left) and the content (right) -> and place your Warning macro or text in the right cell.
* Optionally, add an ID like "warnings-report" for targeted reporting.
* Add a label (ex: "warnings") via the page settings.

B. Create Summary Report Page (the central page that I mentioned above): Create a new page in your space

* Type /content properties report to insert the macro.
* In settings, enter the label (e.g., "warnings") to filter pages.
* Specify columns to show (e.g., "Warning Summary").
* If using IDs, add it under Options.
* Use CQL filters for spaces (e.g., "space = KEY") or ancestors to nominate specific areas.
* Save; the report will display a table with warnings, sortable by modification date.

Note: for multi-space, specify spaces in CQL. Test with a few pages first. If warnings are complex, use Excerpt (/excerpt) inside the property table for cleaner extraction.
