Alternatives to Page Properties Report

Helena Freitas

Hi, we are using Confluence Page Properties Report, but it feels a bit limited for our needs. Our scenario: we have multiple pages with Page Properties (for example, project sheets) and we’d like to manage that data in a more advanced way — filtering, grouping, calculations, or even creating different views depending on the team’s needs. Are there any Marketplace apps that can go beyond the standard Confluence report?

Hi @Helena Freitas , welcome to the Atlassian Community and thanks for your post.

I was not familiar with the alternatives available to the Page Properties macros but it seems that Seibert has a few options.

What I did was just to search Page Properties in the marketplace and I have gone and had a look at the documentation to see how the apps work -

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?query=page%20properties

I would recommend you do the same. You can also, at the same time, reach out directly to the vendors by email or opening a ticket to ask about the functionalities that are important to you.

This app, for example, has a roadmap in their documentation https://junovi.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PROP/pages/2807234574/Roadmap

But I think this one might have more potential in terms of what you are talking about wanting to do https://appanvil.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ATF/pages/3836084229/Live+Demo+Table but I don't see if you can do calculations, which I agree would be interesting / useful.

Have a browse, gather the information and you can also obviously install the apps for a trial and see what you think.

Best of luck!

Hi @Helena Freitas ,

We can suggest trying the app that we develop - Table Filter, Charts & Spreadsheets for Confluence.

We provide the Table Excerpt/Table Excerpt Include macros that can serve as an advanced version of Page Properties Report and allow you to collect multiple-row tables. Here you can check the differences between our and native macros.

And both of them (ours and native) are supported by other our macros:

Table Filter (for filtration and simple calculations)
Pivot Table (aggregation similar to Excel)
Table Transformer (advanced calculations)
Chart from Table (live visualization of your data)

All the macros are compatible and can be combined in different sequences to achieve custom results. You can find the full list/main features of the provided macros here.

Seems that this is really what you need. To make sure, you can book a live demo and contact our support portal (it's confidential, so you'll be able to share more details).

Hi @Helena Freitas ,

At Simpleasyty we are currently working on a solution that integrates directly with the Page Properties macro. Unlike other apps on the Marketplace, our approach does not rely on wrapping the Page Properties Report macro inside another macro. This makes the setup lighter and improves performance because the data is handled directly, without adding extra layers that can slow down rendering or increase complexity.

With this integration, you’ll also be able to use all the features of Simple Table for Confluence App – filtering, grouping, calculations, formulas, and different table views – on top of your Page Properties data.

We are running a first pilot with some customers to test this functionality. If you’re interested, you can simply open a support ticket and we’ll be happy to add your instance to the list.

Best,
— Mia Tamm

Hi @Stiltsoft support

Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi, Helena

If Page Properties Report alone isn’t enough, you can make it more powerful with Handy Macros for Confluence. A common approach is to add Handy Statuses to your project sheets and then pull them into the Page Properties Report.

Statuses are easy to update in one click, and they automatically track who changed them and when. You can also combine statuses with labels on your pages to filter or group information in different ways. For example, by project phase, responsible team, or reporting period.

This way, instead of just a static table, you get a more interactive overview that’s easier to manage and adapt to different team needs.

Let me know if you have further questions!

Cheers,

Veronika from Stiltsoft
