Jira appears to save a simple video when uploaded as a comment "empty or invalid formatting"

It uploads and previews it...

Hey @Issac Osis

can you describe in a bit more detail what you're doing?
It seems like you're adding a comment and inside the comment you want to add an attachment is this correct?

I have some questions to better troubleshoot the problem:

Does it work to directly add the attachment to the work item? Without a comment?
Which types of projects do you use? JSM or Jira? Team-managed vs. company-managed?
It seems like the video is from a screen recording. Can you do another recording and try if that video uploads successfully?
If you can share a sample video (without confidential data), others might be able to check if it's also not working for them - and possibly provide a solution.

Hope that helps,
Matthias.

Empty comment, drag video into comment, animation plays showing upload, video shows in comment after faked upload success animation, comment displays retry.

probably another error message about content being too large shown somewhere and buried by the comment save failure message.
the annoying part is the UI makes it look like it worked and was uploaded somewhere

I understand the frustration - and thanks for providing more details.

Unfortunately, I can't access the youtube-Link and using a fileshare platform might be better suited, otherwise the video format might be different.

Do you also have more information regarding my other questions?
