Request Type options

Hello,

I have already researched this question fairly extensively and I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but as a last-ditch effort I thought I would ask the community here. In the "Request Type" dropdown in the work item view, I believe you are only allowed to change it to other request types within the same Issue Type. Is there any way to open this up so that I can change it to something else in different Issue Type?

It is indeed as you say. Request types are associated with a workitem (old IssueType) and therefore only the request types associated with that workitem will appear in the request type field.
