Tracking User Activity Across Atlassian Tools

Hey everyone,

Quick question: is there a way in Atlassian admin or management tools to see who accessed which products—like Jira, Confluence, or Opsgenie—and when?

I’m looking for a daily-level activity log, not just "last seen" or "last active". For example, I’d like to be able to tell that a user was active today, but not two days ago, and so on—ideally with login or activity data per user per day for each tool.

Does anyone know if this level of tracking is available, or if there’s a report/log I can export? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah, I've mentioned you'll need to have Guard for this. (Maybe just did not emphasize this enough)

I'm just not sure if it's Standard or Premium as in-product thing (hands-on) says one thing and documentation says another. I've asked docs and technical teams to clarify this, so we'll see if this is potentially moving to Guard Premium (although I'm not a fan of that).

According to your screenshot, you need to have the Atlassian Guard option activated (Standard or Premium version).

You could use Atlassian Administration Audit log for this (maybe). If you navigate to admin.atlassian.com > Security > Audit log, you could input the user/actor name in the search bar and it will display most activities the user did (sorted by date; incl. day and time).

*I believe there's a mistake in the docs and that you don't need to have Guard Premium as we're on Standard and have this feature

You could also use the "Export log" option to get a CSV where you could manipulate the data further.

Additionally, you could use audit logs within each app > for example, Jira.

An additional note–there are some improvements related to Administration Audit log in the works, which will/should include additional filters and some additional functionalities. I'm guessing more info will be released in the upcoming months.

Apart from all of that, you could search for Marketplace apps that may offer some additional features related to auditing.
