Show cummulative story points on JIRA Board

Question

Hi Team,

I have a requirement in our project to show a cummulative of QA story points and Dev story points on the JIRA board.

For this, I have created a new field called QA story points in my board. Next I will create a new field which will be sum of QA story points and Dev Story points.

Can someone please help me know if this new field(sum of QA story points and Dev Story points) can be shown on JIRA just like the attached screenshot. This is what I see right now on my board which is the sum of added story points ( excluding QA story points) for all tickets

I am Marlene, product manager of Quick Filters for Jira Dashboards.

If you want to sum up both type of story points next to each other, or other number fields (including custom number fields) on your Jira dashboards, you can try out our the "Quick Issue Statistics" gadget of our app.

On top of that the gadget can be filtered dynamically. You can try this out without installation on our demo dashboards.

It should be possible, at least on company-managed projects.

Just go to the board configuration and change the Estimation methods to your field:

As a result, your agile board will display the values of the new field.

But please note that the board will no longer use Story Points (or what you had before) as estimation method of the tasks; it will use the new field. Is this what you want?

As far I know, it is not possible to show sum of QA and Dev story points on Jira board. If you prefer using a marketplace app, you can display "Sum of QA Story Points" and "Sum of Dev Story Points" on your Jira dashboard by using Sum Up Reports for Jira app developed by our team.

This app provides various table reports based on the fields you choose.

* You can list the issue fields you want and sum up the values at the bottom.
* You can group your data on any field (sprint, status, assignee, component, project etc.) and sum up the field values (story points, time estimate etc.) or take averages.
* You can add this app as a gadget to your Jira dashboards.

For your case, you can create a table report which has Sum of Story Points grouped by Sprint as can be seen below. Under Columns you can add your own custom Story Points fields (QA Story Points, Dev Story Points).
