How do I create a Plan filter that shows only my projects (initiatives that are is assigned to me)?

Question

Can I get some help please with a JQL query for using the Plan feature. I want to see all Initiatives assigned to a specific project manager, and all their associated children issues so we can see the entirety of a project managers work load the Plan view.

The query is a bit too complex or me, but would be something like...

portfoliochildrenof( where the project initiative is assigned to Joe Bloggs)

Thanks for the reply Deivid, would you mind elaborating on how to configure the Plan to show children issues please? I've had a click about but can't see that in Plan settings or View settings.

If you filter only the project or issuetype that is associated with the initiative and then configure the Plan to show children issues, does that not solve the issue?
