If there is any restriction to add only these number of component for a project?

Yes, you can add lots of components. Might get a bit confusing for the users, but I've seen projects with >1000

I need to add more than 700 components in my project. It is possible to add that much of component.

this should be possible. you might want to take a look at the Jelly runner in Jira to do this quickly :

You could generate a script and let it do the hard work for you.
